Your equipment should enhance, not hinder the joy and exhilaration of diving.

The XR1 NX is as versatile underwater as it is topside. Upon starting your dive, the XR1 NX will simply display your current depth and how long you can stay there (Dive Time Remaining). While many divers have asked for such simplicity and ease of use, you know that with all the XR1 NX's features, there must be more and there is. Simply press the button to see more information. Is this information important to you on a full time basis? Leave it there. Just want to check it and then move on to another display? You can do that too. It's up to you and your new XR1 NX. Variable ascent rate indicator will keep you safe upon ascent and slow you down progressively as you head to the surface. Safety stop timer will give you the ability to include the all important 15' (5 meters) safety stop which is recommended by all instructional agencies. AERIS Dive Computers are designed with color-coded bar graphs; gray, yellow and red. These graphs monitor nitrogen accumulation and your personal ascent rate. Pixels buildup in each of these color-coded areas to give you a quick, easy reference of these parameters. Proper monitoring of these graphs allows you to select the personal degree of conservatism you wish to build into each dive, putting you in control of your margin of safety. The XR1 NX acts simply as an 'Air' computer until you tell it otherwise, whether that is this weekend or 2 years down the road. Computer will let you dive nitrox and mixtures of enriched air from 21 to 50%.

The XR1 NX features a diver replaceable CR2450 battery. This can be a real trip-saver on board a live-aboard boat! Should you be in a tight spot between dives, the "hot-swap" feature allows you to change batteries between dives while maintaining all calculations. Other features of the computer are a calendar and clock, 330' (100 meter) operating depth, variable ascent rate, push button or water activation, altitude adjustable, wait to fly time, 12 dive on-unit log capacity, pre-dive plan sequence, dive planner and much more.

Any diver will agree that an air supply is the most important part of scuba diving - right next to water, of course. The pressure gauge included in the Aeris XR1 NX Computer Console won't let you down. It accurately reports your remaining air pressure from 0 to 5000 psi, and the pressure gauge is easy to read due to its contemporary display. Pressure gauge is also equipped with a thermometer to monitor both water and air temperature. Pressure gauge has a luminescent dial for ease of reading in low light or night diving conditions.

One of the most important skills in diving is navigation and for accurate navigation, you need a compass that is not only accurate but easy to read and use. With the AERIS side reading compass, the diver is able to hold the compass level and still be able to easily read the headings through the cut out window on the side. Quick responding and accurate compass has large ratchet bezel, high visibility lubber line, direct and reciprocal index points, luminescent dials for ease of reading in low light or night diving conditions.

CHOOSE YOUR DIVE MODE DISPLAY - ON THE FLY

The XR1 NX is as versatile underwater as it is topside. Upon starting your dive, the XR1 NX will simply display your current depth and how long you can stay there (Dive Time Remaining). While many divers have asked for such simplicity and ease of use, you know that with all the XR1 NX's features, there must be more - and there is. Simply press the button to see more information. Is this information important to you on a full time basis? Leave it there. Just want to check it and then move on to another display? You can do that too. It's up to you and your new XR1 NX.

DIVE TIME REMAINING

Dive Time Remaining provides a 'real' number in minutes, considering Nitrogen and Oxygen absorption, and automatically displays whichever allows less time.

OVERSIZED DIGITS

Take the AERIS challenge: When shopping for a new dive computer, compare the displays. When it comes to viewing critical information, which would you rather see at 100 feet?

"HOCKEY PUCK" MODULAR DESIGN

Allows easy upgrade from most analog gauge or computer consoles. This innovative modular design allows versatile configurations from our 2 and 3-Gauge consoles, wrist mount, hose-mount boot, or a retractor attached to your BC.

AIR OR NITROX

The XR1 NX acts simply as an 'Air' computer until you tell it otherwise, whether that is this weekend or 2 years down the road.

AERIS DIVE COMPUTER ALGORITHM

Decompression theory can be trusted only as far as it has been demonstrated by actual test dive data. In 1987 a unique series of experiments were conducted by Diving Science and Technology (DSAT). Commissioned by the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI), these Doppler ultrasound monitored human experiments conducted by Dr. Michael Powell produced the most comprehensive data set that exists for recreational divers to this day. These data were used to validate the PADI Recreational Dive Planner and are the basis of the algorithm used in all AERIS Dive Computers.

"THE ULTIMATE ADJUSTABLE ALGORITHM"

That's the way divers, instructors and Authorized Dealers refer to AERIS Dive Computers. Our tissue loading bar graphs provide complete control of your margin of safety for each dive. Want to be a bit more cautious? Make it a personal rule to never enter into the caution zone; or stay one or more pixel away.

DIVING BY THE COLORS

AERIS Dive Computers are designed with color-coded bar graphs; grey, yellow and red. These graphs monitor nitrogen accumulation and your personal ascent rate. Pixels build up in each of these color-coded areas to give you a quick, easy reference of these parameters. Proper monitoring of these graphs allows you to select the personal degree of conservatism you wish to build into each dive, putting you in control of your margin of safety.

AUTOMATIC SAFETY STOP PROMPT

A visual alarm reminds you as you approach 15 feet. An automatic 3-minute timer counts down to zero. As in any other dive mode, you still have access to other pieces of information, and there is no penalty should you choose to disregard the safety stop.

USER FRIENDLY MODE ICONS

All AERIS computers feature bar graphs and universal icons that help you to quickly understand the information displayed on the screen at a glance.

TIME STAMP

The XR1 NX features time of day on the surface as well as underwater for quick reference.

AUTOMATIC ALTITUDE COMPENSATION

The XR1 NX automatically compensates for altitude dives up to 14,000 feet, giving adjusted no-decompression times and depths. The XR1 NX even automatically recalibrates the depth displays for freshwater instead of seawater above 2,000 feet.

DIVER-REPLACEABLE BATTERY

The XR1 NX features a diver replaceable battery. This can be a real trip-saver on board a live-aboard boat!

BATTERY HOT SWAP

Should you be in a tight spot between dives, the "hot-swap" feature allows you to change batteries between dives while maintaining all calculations.

24-HOUR FLY COUNTDOWN AND CALCULATED DESATURATION TIME

The XR1 NX features both a 24-hour countdown timer and calculated Desaturation Time, the theoretical time required to off-gas all residual nitrogen at sea level.

VARIABLE ASCENT RATE INDICATOR™

Some computers simply flash an icon, telling you that you’re ascending too quickly. The XR1 NX ’s Variable Ascent Rate Indicator bar graph acts as a speedometer, allowing you to very precisely control your ascent rate via the grey, yellow, and red bar graph.

DEPTH-DEPENDENT ASCENT RATE

The XR1 NX features a depth-dependant ascent rate, allowing increased rates at deeper depths and providing additional safety as you near the surface.

12 DIVE ON-UNIT LOG BOOK

The XR1 NX features on-unit data storage capacity for 12 dives. Dive numbering and time stamp makes locating and viewing a specific dive quick and easy.

USER SETTINGS AND OPTIONS

FO2

The XR1 NX acts simply as an 'Air' computer until you tell it otherwise, whether that is this weekend or 2 years down the road. As your training and experience grow, the XR-1 Nx is designed to grow with you, being easily programmed for Nitrox mixtures from 21% to 50%.

FO2 50% DEFAULT ON/OFF

Following a Nitrox dive, many dive computers calculate your next dive based on a "worse-case scenario", mix of 50% Oxygen and 79% Nitrogen should you forget to reset your actual mix. With FO2 50% Default OFF, your mix remains at the original set point until you change it again.

MAXIMUM PO2 LEVEL ALARM (NITROX)

When diving Nitrox, do you prefer your maximum PO2 exposure to be 1.2 ATA? 1.6 ATA? Depending on where you learned and your own personal comfort zone, the answer may be very different from diver to diver. The XR1 NX lets you set your own limit.

WATER ACTIVATION ON/OFF

The XR1 Nx automatically enters Dive Mode when the water contacts are wet, and the unit is submerged past 4 feet. To avoid this when swimming or enjoying other water sports, simply set Water Activation Off.

UNITS OF MEASUREMENT

Choose between Metric and Imperial settings for date, temperature, depth and pressure.
