Service
Factory Full Service and Calibration is our standard repair process for any defective (current model) dive computer or instrument. During the Factory Full Service and Calibration process for digital instruments, the instrument is completely disassembled down to the main circuit board. This board is extensively tested using the same quality control process used with new boards, and is discarded if found to be defective. If the board meets our quality control criteria, it is then reassembled using all new integrated circuit chips and components, matched up with an LCD display and housing, and subjected to the same calibration and quality control process as our new computers.
For analog instruments, the gauge is disassembled, thoroughly cleaned, and reassembled using new parts. All mechanical linkages are adjusted, and the gauge undergoes the same calibration and quality control processes as our new analog instruments.
** Note: As the Full Service and Calibration processes for digital and analog instruments may take a number of weeks to complete, depending on our manufacturing department's backlog, we typically replace returned units with similar instruments that have already undergone the Full Service and Calibration process. This allows us to turn a repair around in a matter of days, rather than weeks, while still insuring that the instrument is factory-new and completely within specification when it leaves our facility. Dive computer logs are erased.
